I’m busy uploading some of Tamarillo’s pieces into the Touch-it shop and these babies are just so gorgeous I couldn’t resist giving you a glimpse of what’s to come…

I was sooo excited when I walked into Boardmans and found that the “Welcome Home Collection” I blogged about earlier was already in the shops, even before it’s launch at Rooms on View this weekend.

This is really exciting! Source has teamed up with Boardmans and the result is a project named “Welcome Home”, and it is a collection of homeware products from as much as 45 local designers, which includes top names such as Adriaan Hugo and Gregor Jenkin through to Inini, Heather Moore and Ngwenya Glass.

I first saw Hellooow Handmade at the Design Indaba earlier this year, but the stand was so packed with people trying to get near that I never had a chance to take a closer look. Now I know why!

If you love all things handmade you probably know about Etsy, the biggest “online shop” to buy and sell handmade creations. Now I know this is not a local site, but I regularly trawl the “local shopping” section and sometimes there are real big finds to be caught. Just have a look at these beauties, all locally made.
